Australian university offers up to ₹29 lakh scholarship for Indian students

Australia’s Macquarie University has launched a major scholarship programme for Indian students enrolling in full‑time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees. The scholarship offers up to AUD 50,000 in tuition fee support, which equates to about ₹29 lakh.

Scholarship details:

The scholarship combines two key awards: 

  • India Early Acceptance Scholarship: Up to AUD 40,000.
  • Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: Up to AUD 10,000.
  • The combined value of both scholarships can reach up to AUD 50,000 (around Rs 29 lakh).

It is available for Indian citizens enrolling in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees excluding graduate certificate programs.

Who can apply

Indian citizens pursuing full time undergraduate or post-graduate coursework degrees (undergraduate graduate certificate courses are excluded).

  • University students must have an ATAR of 85.
  • Postgraduates require a minimum of 65 Weighted Average Mark (WAM).

 

Applicants must accept their offer and pay the commencement fee by the deadline. Recipients must stay enrolled in all required study periods and cannot hold another full tuition scholarship unless approved.
